CLASP provides both
before and after-school care and after-camp summer programs for children
of Great Neck’s working parents. Full day, full year Early Childhood Program
for 2,3, and 4 year-olds. The Intergenerational Program encourages shared
activities between children and seniors.

Great Neck Senior
Citizen Center is a multi-purpose center with programs in recreation,
education, and cultural activities. Counseling is available, as well as
social services information and referrals. A hot nutritious lunch is served
at noon, Monday through Friday, and a cold salad is also available for

COPAY is an out-patient non-profit agency dedicated to providing high
quality professional medically managed service to families and
individuals. The Agency identifies and responds to the needs of the
Community. Programs and services provided include outpatient
substance abuse counseling, family therapy, marital counseling, vocational
assessment and training, academic tutoring, HIV supportive services,
substance abuse education, psychiatric evaluation, parenting skills
training, information and referrals. Everyone is welcome all in need
regardless of ability to pay.

The GNAC established the school for the
Arts in 1995. Classes in art, music, dance, theatre arts and film are
offered to students of all ages during weekdays, evenings and weekends at
the Arts Centers. Their commitment to the community and the
underprivileged in the community is the centerpiece of their earliest
efforts and is now an established component of The Arts Centers agenda.
Scholarships to students identified by the schools as financially in need
are offered each semester in every department.

The Hispanic Community of Great Neck is a
not for profit civic organization that provides multiple services such as:
after school tutorial programs, cultural and civic events on an ongoing
basis, referrals for employment, and help with completing forms for
immigration, citizenship, education, translations and health related

residents are entitled to use the Parks and other facilities as well as
partake in courses, cultural and sports programs provided by the Park
District.
The Great Neck Park
district offers sailing school, summer preschool program, trips, mooring
permits, pool membership, tennis permits and a skating school.
The Village of Great
Neck Plaza has 3 Beautiful Parks:
Over 2/3 of the students
in the Great Neck Public Schools achieve a B average or better. More than
90% go on to higher education. We have National Merit Commended Students,
Semifinalists, Finalists and Scholars. The Great Neck mean scores on SAT
Tests are consistently higher than the national mean scores. Advanced
Placement courses are offered and attended every year.

Village Officials Association (NCVOA) is comprised of 64 incorporated
villages representing nearly 435,000 residents. It is an
organization that serves as an advocate for municipal governments and
residents on local, state and national levels.

The Great Neck Village Officials Association (GNVOA) is comprised of the 9
Incorporated Villages. It also includes other local community
organizations and special districts, such as the Great Neck Public
Schools, Great Neck Park District, Great Neck Library, Water Authority of
Great Neck North, as well as the elected officials of the unincorporated
sections of the Town of North Hempstead on the Great Neck Peninsula, and
county and state representatives serving Great Neck. Other
interested parties are also encouraged to participate to share information
and discuss planning, municipal administration and operations, constituent
concerns, emergency management and other issues affecting the peninsula.
