Middle Neck Road Promenade Night
Thursday, July 29, 2010, 6:30pm - 10:30pm
Raindate: Thursday August 5, 2010

Please join the Village of Great Neck Promenade Night with the transformation of Middle Neck Road, between Grace Avenue and Maple Drive into a pedestrian promenade on the evening of Thursday, July 29th from 6:30PM until 10:30PM. Patrons will be invited to sit under the stars in a European style promenade and enjoy menus from around the globe. The event will feature live and DJ music, street performances and stores will remain open for much of the evening. All residents and Long Islanders are welcomed to enjoy the eclectic and tasty menu styles of the many restaurants in the Village.

POETRY IN THE PLAZA
Starting this spring and being displayed monthly throughout the year, the Village will be brightened by the addition of poetry selections placed inside various sign posts throughout the Plaza, at Village hall and on the bulletin board inside of the ticket building at the LIRR train station.

There will be a new poem presented each month and it will be graphically displayed to attract people to stop and read them while walking our streets. colors and style of graphics will vary with each season. "this program, another cultural arts project presented by the Village, is to promote the arts and bring literature to life for our residents. We hope you read and enjoy them" said Deputy Mayor Rosen

Can you spare a pair of sneakers?
The Interfaith Nutritional Network would appreciate gently used men's, woman's and children's sneakers for those down on their luck! Please leave your donations in the box located in the lobby of Village Hall. Thank you for you donation!

The Village of Great Neck Plaza and the Business Improvement District are busy coordinating activities for their 26th Annual Street Festival. Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 12 Noon – 5 PM, with a rain date of Sunday, October 3rd.
