Poetry Contest Results

The winners of this year’s poetry contest, who as part of the event will be reading their award-winning poetry on April 15th, are the following:

First Prize: J R Turek for “5 Broken Rings” - East Meadow, NY
Second Prize: Alex Edwards-Bourdez for “As They Fall” - Northport, NY
Third Prize: Sybil Bank for “Thoughts on Being Eighty-Three” - Great Neck, NY
Honorable Mention: Evelyn Kandel for “Falling Into Winter” - Glen Cove, NY
Honorable Mention: Marvin Illman for “The Girl Up There” - Woodmere, NY

The public is invited to join us in this celebration of Poetry Month and to hear the readings of these award winning poems. Additionally, time permitting, the first six people who sign up will be invited to read one poem in the open mic section of the program. The event is free to the public and refreshments will be served.
